Jed and I headed to Chesapeake to send a few hours with my family for Christmas. We made a pit stop in Williamsburg for dinner at Olde Towne Pizza and it was fantastic! I will definitely stop there again.
One of my favorite things to do around Christmas at my mom's house is go check out a house that decorates there house just down the road. It is truly impressive, check out there website here.
That night we went to Midnight Mass with Mom, Tom, Ryan and Caity and then headed to Ben & Shelby's house so we could be there when Ryn woke up.
Santa had already come by the time we got there.
On Christmas morning, Ryn wasn't really sure what was happening and took her a little while to warm up to everything.
But once she started, there was no stopping her...
The family all came to Ben & Shelby's house for Christmas breakfast but Ryn was too excited to eat so Ben, Jed and I headed outside to go play.
It was great to hang out with everyone, watch Ryn open all her gifts and spend time with her.
After breakfast, we spent some time playing with Ryn, with her new toys and an awesome gift that Ben & Shelby gave us.
Before we had to head back home, we all headed to my mom's house for a late lunch with the family. Tom fried us a turkey for lunch and we took advantage of the fire pit in the back yard.
Ben did the honors of carving our turkey this year. I think he always gets that job and I am not sure he is a big fan but he does a great job.
Everything was great and it was so nice to spend time with family.
One of Ryn's Christmas gifts was super fun and incredibly creepy, My Giggle Monkey. We couldn't stop playing with it and taking pictures of it.
Ben and I had to get a few more games in for old time sake before heading home.
We were so glad that we were able to make a quick trip back for Christmas. It was great to spend time with family even if it was just for a few hours.
