Graduation Weekend

May 12th

What an exciting weekend! We had so much to celebrate. This weekend Jed graduated from Tech with a Master's Degree and Caity graduated from Tech with her Bachelor's Degree. We had a great weekend hanging out in hot arenas listening to lots of Commencement speeches and so many names being read but in end, there were two new diploma's to hang.

Tom was supposed to finish with Jed too!

We also got to celebrate the Micah's ladies graduation with a pot luck after Micah's on Thursday night. We are going to really miss those ladies!

Congratulations Jed, Caity, Kathy, Dina & Christie! No more homework!

A Family Wedding

April 1st

This weekend we ventured to our rival collage town for Scottie’s wedding. Family and friends came from all over the country to be a part of the big event. It was an amazing 48 hours of catching up with friends and family. It was so great to see everything.

After the wedding and reception, we moved almost the entire party to the hotel lobby. It was so much fun and it isn’t a family event without guitars coming out and groups breaking out in song. It was such a fun event.

Congratulations to Heidi & Scottie.

Going Bowling for Christmas in Charlotte

December 26-30

After Christmas, lots of people started to come into town for all the pre game festivities. We spent out last few days before the game exploring the city, celebrating birthday's by eating way too much and hanging out with friends and family as they got into town.

The day before the game, Derley & I had the opportunity to go on a Wive's Event before enjoying the Pep Rally happening a few blocks from our hotel.

Game day got here quickly and in typical fashion, I spent the morning of the game in the stadium putting out pom poms. It is always fun to get in, see the stadium and help be a part of the overall experience.

It was a great game day experience. We ran into so many friends while we were out and about.

It was surprisingly cold that evening and we really felt the cold the first half as our Hokies struggled again the Razorbacks but they came out a completely different team the second half with a come from behind victory over Arkansas 35-24.

This year, the families were able to join on the field for the celebration and it was such a surreal experience. This entire staff, coaches and players worked so hard this year and it was great to celebrate the close of the season with a victory.

After the game, we spent time with friends and family celebrating and reliving all the craziness of the game. It was a great week in Charlotte.
