U2 Anniversary Weekend

June 2nd - 4th

This year on our anniversary we decided to take a quick road trip to see U2. The closest they were coming to us when we were able to go, was Chicago so we decided, why not! So Friday afternoon we hit the road and headed north. Saturday we finished the drive to Chicago with a few starting to be favorite pit stops.

We made it into Chicago early enough that we were able to visit a Chicago landmark, Super Dawg's for lunch.

Our next stop in the city was to meet a good friend, Bryson for a drink and then we roamed around downtown for a little while to check out all our favorites.

We decided we couldn't leave Chicago that night without having deep dish pizza so before heading into the concert, we grabbed a pizza at Gino's East.

The line into the stadium was crazy and as we waited to get in, we realized we were actually an hour late to the concert! By the time we made it into the stadium, we missed the opening band but thankfully we didn't miss any of the main event.

It was a fantastic concert and we had the best time singing along to all our favorites.

After the concert, we started to drive home and made it home by Sunday night with very few stops. To say it was a quick trip is a bit of an understatement but it was absolutely worth it. We would definitely do it again!
