November 15th & 16th
After a weekend off, it was time to get back on the road for football. This weekend I met my mom, Tom, Derley and Danielle in Durham, NC to watch the Hokies play Duke. Lil Hokiebird made the trip with me as well as he made a friend before the game, Ollie the Otter.
The game was super stressful. Duke has a great team this year, ranked #19 and I was pretty nervous. It was a very close game and the Hokies won 17-16.
Lil Hokiebird even made a new friend after the game too!
After the game we went to celebrate with Jed and Tom before they headed home on the bus.
After the game, Derley, Danielle, Grace and I walked around campus a little before heading home. They have a beautiful campus.
On Sunday, we headed back to North Carolina and had a wives shopping day. Angela wasn't about to make it on the trip and she was definitely missed but not forgotten. We were able to tackle Ikea, Trader Joe's and Concord Mills Outlets. It was a very successful trip with lots of fun, shopping and memories complete with matching wives shirts at the end.
