The NEW Wonder of The World

April 29th

The one thing that everyone and everything said that we had to do while we were in Cape Town was get to the top of Table Mountain. Since we were pretty limited with time, we decided to forgo a half day or entire day hike to the top and made our way to the rotating cable car to make it to the top.

The ride us was so much fun. We were moving pretty quick and heading really high. It was a pretty crazy feeling. But when we got out at the time, it was just an incredible view.
We had brought some breakfast with us so when we got to the top we walked around for a little while and found a place to sit and eat.

For the next hour or so, we just explored the top of the mountain. We did a little hiking but mostly we just sat. We watched as the clouds moved over the mountain and just marveled at the beauty in front of us and how incredible it was to just be there. It was such a memorable experience.

But today was our last day in Cape Town so we weren't able to stay at the top all day. We had other areas to explore. So before the mountain and the cable car got to crazy busy, we head back down. Our next stop was another beach town on the other side of Table Mountain, Camps Bay.

We made our way to the heart of Camps Bay and started to explore. The water, beaches and the opposite side of Table Mountain were all so beautiful. We spent some time taking pictures, exploring the shops and just sitting on the beach. It was a perfect afternoon.

We found this awesome place for a late lunch right on the water where we could just sit and enjoy the weather and the views called Blues.

After lunch, we said good bye to the beaches and headed back to the city bowl area. We wanted to take some time exploring the markets and the craziness of the downtown area of Cape Town. We ended up finding a few small things at the markets and I am sure we paid way to much but it is the experience of it all, right?
As we were exploring we found the coolest thing! A cupcake shop in a church. It was beautiful and such a neat experiences to go get a few little cupcakes and sit in church and just relax and enjoy.

And every time we go exploring, we always find something weird and unique. Today, our weird and unique was this...

There was one last place that we wanted to check out before the day was over, V&A Waterfront. So we headed back to the car to try our hand at city driving and parallel parking one more time. Thankfully it is starting become second nature so we made it to the waterfront pretty easily.

The waterfront is a neat area that has tons of shops, markets, restaurants, bars, live music, boats, and more unique finds. We spent the evening exploring the area, window shopping and laughing and remembering all that we have seen and done.

After dinner overlooking the boats at Karibu, we decided to head back to the hotel. We still were not ready to call it a night yet so we headed down to Long Street one last time for dessert that we have been eyeing for the past few days.

The Royale Eatery has continued to call to us every night we walked down Long St. They advertise fantastic milkshakes so we had to give them a try before we left. The restaurant itself was super cute and surprising packed for super late on a random week night so we knew we had made the right decision. After a great dessert and evening stroll, we headed back to the hotel to pack up and get ready for the journey home.
