Tailgating with a horse

September 27th

It was the return of the Food Truck Rodeo in Christiansburg this weekend. This time it was much better then when we went in May. We met some friends Friday night to hang out down there, wait in crazy long lines and enjoy some pretty good food.

On Saturday, our Hokies played Western Michigan. We spent the morning tailgating with friends and a few Western Michigan fans. But the best part was when Dennis showed up on his horse.

We had a great time at the game and the Hokies won 35-17.

After the game, we had the change to meet up with some of Jed's old students and spend time with some old friends.

It was a pretty fun weekend.

Ramblin' Wreck Football

September 20th -21st

We were all back and ready for a great football game against Georgia Tech. We had lots of friends for out of town ready to cheer on the Hokies, but again we fell a little short in the end losing at the very end 24-27.

We were able to spend some time with my family this weekend before hitting the road to celebrate my nephews first birthday in Charlotte and met a new little guy, Arlo.

It was a quick trip but we had a great time and even had Jed's mom & cousin, Alice come back with us for a few days on their around the country tour. We were able to give them a tour of campus and take them to lunch and dinner before the continued their trip north.

Roller Coaster Football

September 13th & 14th

This weekend the Hokies played ECU for the Military Appreciation Game. So we all got out Hokie red, white and blue on and cheered on our Hokies. They were down bad in the beginning but bad a big come back but in the end it wasn't enough and we lost 21-28.

We were pretty bummed but ECU is a great time and always gives us a good fight. And we didn't have long to be sad cause as soon as the game was over, Caity, Jed and I hopped in the car and headed to Busch Gardens to celebrate Ryn's 3rd birthday.

I am absolutely loving what I am hoping is turning into a tradition. This is the second year we have met the family at Busch Gardens and it has been a lot of fun. We spent the day running around, spending time with the family and ALL riding roller coasters.

We can't wait to do it again next year.
