My First NYC Wedding

May 9-10

Our first New York wedding was in Brooklyn. This was such an amazing opportunity. Jed and I were about to get up to NYC early enough to spend some time in Manhattan on Friday night.

We decided to take advantage of all the different kinds of food that NYC has to offer and we found a Szechuan Restaurant. Once we got there I got a little overwhelmed since nothing was in English but I had to go check it out.

On Saturday morning, Noel & Emma came into the city to meet us for breakfast at French Roast. It was great to see them and we had a great time finding and shopping at a candy store with them. We were also about to run to Kara and Andrej out and about.

It wasn't long before we had to run back to the hotel to get ready and head to the big event. The wedding was perfect. It was so Adam & Laura. Every part of it. It was so great to be a part of it all.

After the wedding, Laura & Adam had a New Orleans style parade with a jazz band and everything. We "paraded" down to the Brooklyn Bridge Park for some fantastic photo opportunities.

After a few pictures, we headed to the subway to get to the reception at Prospect Park. We had a great time celebrating Adam & Laura. It was a fantastic wedding.

When it was time to leave, Adam & Laura had double decker buses ready to take us back into Manhattan via the Brooklyn Bridge. So fun!

We got a big surprise on Sunday went Amy ended up in NYC for work and we had the chance to spend more of the day with her starting with a great breakfast at Norma's at Le Parker Meridien.

We took a pit stop to visit Jay before meeting up with Amy again. During out pit stop, Jay took us on a tour of the NFL offices. It was so amazing to spend time with him, he what he is up to these days and learn some of the behind the senses of the NFL.

Before we headed back home, we met up with Amy again to so go see Kinky Boots on Broadway. It was a fun show and we were so excited to get the chance to do it with Amy.

What a memorable weekend full of fun, dancing, family and friends! We just love NYC.

The Start of Wedding Season

April 11-12

The start of wedding season this year starting outside of Washington DC. Before the big event, Jed and I headed up to Reston to visit some friends while we were in the area. We had the opportunity to spend Saturday morning going to a "blast ball" parade and going to a blast ball game.

It was so fun to watch little kids learn the sport and get so excited.

We had to leave the game early to make it to the wedding at Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Purcellville, VA. It was a beautiful ceremony and Catherine looked gorgeous.

After the wedding, we headed Riverside on the Potomac for the reception. It was a beautiful property and it was great to hang out, meet new friends and caught up with old friends.

It was such an honor to be a part of Stephen & Catherine's big day.

On our way home it felt like a no brainer to stop off in Fredericksburg on our way home to see a few friends. It was so great to spend time hearing old VT football stories from Mr. Herl, catching up with Miss Pencoff/Mrs. Herl, laughing and reminiscing with Schlee and spend time with the Liptrap/Le family.

And what is a stop in Fredericksburg with out a stop for ice cream at Carl's!
