November 21-22nd
What a weekend filled with emotions! This weekend we had two huge events to celebrate. Meredith & Antonio got married in Richmond and Coach Beamer coached his last game in Lane Stadium. On Friday night my mom & her friend, Cindi came into town so we could all experience Saturday morning's festivities today.
On Saturday morning, instead of tailgating, we decided to participate in the Hokie Walk and the Hokie Village.

Terrible picture but I am glad I was there. |

Can you find Jed in this picture? |
After the Walk, we grabbed lunch at the food trucks in Hokie Village and met up with Kelly, Adam, Adam's dad and Derley. It was so great to see them all.
The morning flew by and before long it was time for us to head into the stadium. It was so great to be there for the pre game videos and traditions.

These two are the best and I can't imagine better people to experience this game with. |
But as soon as we finished Jumping, I immediately ran to the car and started the drive to Richmond. I listed to the game on the drive and pulled into the wedding parking area as the Hokies tied the game.
It was time to switch gears and it was fantastic to see old friends as we waited for Meredith and Antonio's big entrances. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and our great friend, Terri had the privilege to marry our friends. She did an unbelievable job! Just fantastic!
As we headed into the building to celebrate the union I was overjoyed for all of our friends. We have such a great group no matter how many miles separate up.
On Sunday, Jed was able to give a small group of friends the behind the scenes tour. We took my mom and Cindi and they might be some of the funniest people we know. They are just hilarious and we all had a great time checking out all the new facilities and being goofy.
As friends and family headed home, we had one more surprise that Sunday evening. We were invited to come out and celebrate our friend, Marc's birthday with hanging out with their pet falcon!
It was such a whirlwind weekend and it will always have a special place for me. It was a constant reminder of the importance of friends and family.
