What a fun weekend! This weekend we celebrated Scottie's birthday and the Oscar's in big ways! On Saturday, we met my brother, sister in law and there friends in Wintergreen for a little while before meeting up with Scottie to go see an 80's cover band called The Legwarmers.
We had a great time getting all decked out in our 80's gear and singing and dancing along to great songs that reminded us of being kids.
The next day, Lisa and I scrambled to get everything ready for the greatest Oscar Party the New River Valley has ever seen! We had it all, the big screen, an inflatable Oscar, popcorn bar, an amazing spread of food, Oscar bingo, Oscar ballots, red carpet, an Emcee, a photo booth and prizes!
Unfortunately, the turn out was a little disappointing with only a total of about 25 people dropping in from time to time. But I would definitely call it a success and was so glad that we did it!
